Jerry helped me start my first workout program in many years. Over months of consistent workouts and changes to my daily nutrition, I began to improve my strength and stamina. Before I knew it, I was 30lbs lighter and at my ideal weight. I now regularly take part in hiking, dragon boat races, and can do 20 pullups! I thoroughly enjoy having Jerry as my “coach” to keep my strong and healthy.

I have been Jerry’s client since 2012. In that time he has helped me recover from a knee surgery and a shoulder repair. The difference between just working out and working with Jerry is that he always keeps it new and interesting so it’s easy to be consistent with my own workouts. When I first started working out with Jerry I suffered from lower back pain and basically had to avoid any movement that put stress on that area. I had not even attempted a deadlift in almost two years. He wasted no time identifying the problem and with his technical corrections, stretching routines, and mobility work, not only am I back to deadlifting in the gym, but I am pulling more than I ever thought I could. I am hitting personal records weekly. Along with the injury rehab, Jerry’s nutritional advice, his precise routine adjustments, and his rep schemes has helped me break through long standing plateaus in strength, endurance, body fat, and mobility. The progress I’ve made over the last six months while working out with Jerry dwarves the entire previous year.

"There are certain qualities I looked for in choosing a personal trainer; professionalism, patience, and knowledge of the human body and how to make changes through proper training and diet. I found Jerry to have all of these qualities. I was surprised how much more organized he was over other trainers and how much he focused on my goals and never lost sight of them. Rich and Christy Run Their First Half Marathon

I would like to thank Mr. Jerry Yuhara for giving me the motivation and encouragement that I needed to get me started in living a healthier life style. I went from about 215 lbs to 170 lbs in about three months and he taught me how to keep my body fat down which I did from then on. He and another buddy of ours, Christy, applied to run the P.F. Chang’s Half Marathon and the three of us would meet every week to train together through the winter months. In that time I had found out that I was not a runner at all. After a few months of training I felt like a runner and before I knew it I was at the finish line meeting up with Christy and Jerry with a medallion around my neck From then on he had taught me a valuable lesson on making something that was in my eyes impossible, to the possible. I never thought that I would get to this goal that he gave me on losing weight, let alone run a half marathon.

Jerry, thanks for your help in achieving my goals of 315 Bench Press and then losing 20 pounds. At age 40 it was not easy to go after such lofty goals but with your encouragement and expertise in training and diet I was able to achieve these ambitious milestones. I now seem to be doing all the right things automatically as you helped ingrain this new improved lifestyle into my daily routine.

I wanted to thank you SO MUCH for everything you taught me. :) Ive put all that knowledge to consistent use and I'm doing great. You really made an impact on me and I am grateful to have all the knowledge you bestowed upon me. I got into cycling and have completely immersed myself in it....it's pretty much the best thing that's even happened to me. I've been racing road and mountain bike but mostly mountain....and winning...a LOT! This year, my goal is to get sponsored.
