Injury Management
Align, Correct, Integrate.
Using targeted massage therapy techniques, body alignment can be improved or even or even fully restored back to normal. Therapy alone however, is often not enough to keep you out of pain or allow you to return to an active lifestyle. Corrective exercise, often referred to as “Post-physical therapy work”, strengthens chronically weak muscles to hold you in a properly aligned posture. This is then followed with integrative exercise so you can then apply your improved body to daily activities and sports.

I am very, very happy to recommend Jerry as a personal trainer and massage therapist. I have been working with Jerry for many years - both on my physical fitness/strength training and the management of an old arm/shoulder injury. I cannot believe how much my arm strength has improved thanks to Jerry's targeted exercises!

"I have been Jerry’s client since 2012. In that time he has helped me recover from a knee surgery and a shoulder repair. The difference between just working out and working with Jerry is that he always keeps it new and interesting so it’s easy to be consistent with my own workouts. People tell me I look younger than my age and I credit Jerry with that so I’ll definitely keep working with him."

Massage therapy for active people
Over the years I have seen the direct benefits that massage therapy has on those living active lifestyles. As personal trainers we are taught to assess posture and movements to design an optimal workout plan that suits the client. During these assessments, specific muscles are shown to be tight and in need of lengthening. A qualified trainer can strengthen the weak areas, but often massage therapy is needed to lengthen chronically tight muscles. By including massage as a part of your workout you can:
Foam rolling is not enough
A common solution for trainers is to foam roll and stretch to increase flexibility. In theory this is a good suggestion and it works provided they do the following: roll daily, hold the stretch or roll for a long enough time (often boredom or pain makes them stop too soon), perform correct rolling technique, and stretching the muscles surrounding the tight one. A massage can take the place of hours foam rolling.
